So we are finally doing this....

It is October...both my favorite and least favorite time of year. I love the thinning of the veil, the fact that Halloween is coming and the smell of candles and wood burning stoves.

It is also the time of year that reminds of transition and loss, which never get easier but always give me pause.

The idea of sharing my experiences and lending my ear and expertise with people isn't new. I have had individuals referred to me throughout the years for tips on resumes, networking, interviewing and holding hard conversations.

But there is so very much more to career navigation. Like anything else, sometimes it challenges us, sometimes it drains us. It can be the best part of our life one day and be emotionally draining the next. With the changing workplace cultures, especially in the last couple of years, it can be more difficult to find your way and sometimes the people that you are encouraged to reach out to in your company, just aren't helping you.
